Overview of Role


As part of the Acute & Urgent Care Program leadership team, the Medical Lead, Acute and Urgent Care, Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), will contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, strategic and operational deliverables for the program.


The role will provide medical leadership and governance for all clinical work within Acute & Urgent Care Program and contribute to service planning within the program.

The Medical Lead, Acute & Urgent Care Program is accountable for the medical leadership of Acute & Urgent Care Program, RAH, within Central Adelaide Local Health Network.


Overview of Program and Leadership Structure


Acute and Urgent Care is the largest program in the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), incorporating Emergency, Trauma, General Medicine and Geriatrics.


Essential Requirements:


Holding appropriate specialist qualifications for a Consultant, you will be registered as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.

You will demonstrate experience in a Senior Clinical leadership role, including experience in the planning and provision of health services.

This will be supported by your proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others.

Successfully leading professional groups to achieve best practice clinical outcomes, you will have the capacity to establish and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse range of professional staff.
