Role Overview:

This position offers a blend of technical hydrographic work and sales engineering, requiring a skilled individual who can navigate both domains with expertise. The role is highly autonomous, involving significant travel both within Australia and internationally, as you will be integral in expanding our reach and enhancing our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and manage comprehensive hydrographic projects, including marine, coastal, estuarine, and riverine environments, focusing on high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Drive business development activities, identifying new market opportunities, and maintaining robust relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and sustained growth.

Represent the company at national and international trade shows, providing technical expertise, promoting our innovative solutions, and networking with industry leaders.

Develop and deliver detailed technical and commercial presentations to stakeholders, tailoring content to diverse audiences to maximize impact and engagement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, meeting all technical specifications, budget requirements, and timelines.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Hydrography, Environmental Science, Marine Biology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in hydrography are highly desirable.

For Graduate applicants: Demonstrable skills through internships or university projects are advantageous.

For Experienced applicants: Proven industry experience in hydrographic surveying, with a strong portfolio of successful project management and client engagement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong client relationships and negotiating business deals.

High degree of professionalism, with the ability to operate independently in varied environments.

Desirable:

Familiarity with the latest technological tools and methods in hydrography, such as GIS, remote sensing, and data analysis software.

Multi-lingual capabilities to engage effectively with our diverse international clientele.
