The position of Manager, Conduct, Industrial and Workplace Relations involves providing strategic leadership to the workplace relations function within the People and Culture department of the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Services (DPFEM). This role will allow you to shape the future strategic direction of the team, providing a specialized advisory service and working in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges.
This position currently offers a Market Allowance of 5% in addition to the specified salary.
Duties:
- Lead the workplace relations function within People and Culture department
- Strategic direction and leadership for the team
- Manage industrial matters and union consultations
- Ensure compliance with Tasmania Reportable Conduct Scheme
- Model high-level leadership behaviors
- Collaborate with other service arms within DPFEM
- Demonstrate understanding of current best practices in workplace relations
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience and/or qualifications in human resources and workplace relations management, strong management and leadership skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal abilities. They will demonstrate a strategic mindset, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the capability to lead a responsive and proactive team.
