You'll be responsible for

  • Promote a proactive claims file handling culture through peer reviews on claim files, claim processes and call reviews providing effective feedback on claims management, process improvements and customer service.
  • Work with claim managers and technical teams in the design and development of initiatives and actions plans that increase and improve technical capability, compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Identify opportunities through the Quality Assurance program to increase efficiency, minimise claim costs and reduce process waste
  • Promote a collaborative environment that fosters continuous improvement through the Quality Assurance program including feedback, training and process review.
  • Improve overall General Insurance Claims code compliance through proactive management of Code diaries and review of the Code risk report, undertaking sample customer centric and partner centric claim reviews.
  • Support the claims in times of crisis such as catastrophe events in lodgement of claims and supporting claims activities.

About you

  • Experience in a claims management or quality assurance role within a complex, matrixed general insurance or financial services organisation
  • Extensive knowledge of claims handling and claims settlement processes
  • Knowledge of and exposure to risk and compliance management principles
  • Strong attention to detail ability to complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy
  • Ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies with information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to manage internal client expectations to ensure matters are appropriately triaged and dealt with
