Maxima has multiple positions across local councils and private organisations for you to kickstart a career within this booming industry.


This 3-year traineeship will give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty and receive paid work outdoors and practical on-the-job training, all whilst studying towards a nationally recognised
Certificate III in Horticulture.


If successful, you could be eligible for Government incentives of up to $5,000 in the first 2-years

Benefits:

  • Rostered Day Off (RDOs) once a fortnight

Key Responsibilities:

  • General garden and grounds maintenance
  • Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
  • Brush cutting and mowing
  • Turf replacement, renovation, and fertilisation
  • Pest and weed control

We're looking for individuals who:

  • Enjoy working in the outdoors and working with garden tools
  • Are committed, reliable and hardworking
  • Manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
  • Work effectively in a team with good communication skills
  • Have a cando attitude, and display initiative
  • Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision

Role Requirements:

  • Driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
  • Satisfactorily pass a preemployment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
