Job Description:

  • Anglo American's Vacation Program is an opportunity for university students seeking to gain handson experience in their field of study to better prepare themselves for graduate employment.


Our summer Vacation Program is now open It is a 12-week paid placement in one of our
Central Queensland mine site operations from November 2023 until February 2024.


Key features of the Vacation Program:

  • Maximum 12 weeks' work experience at our Site Operations
  • Handson responsibilities with the possibility of project work
  • Opportunity to fasttrack into Anglo American's Steelmaking Coal Graduate Program


Our Australian team consists of over 4,000 talented mining professionals who will develop and support you whilst working on impactful, real-world activities at our open cut or underground operations.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you'll be in the best position to make the most of everything you've learned so far.


Qualifications:

  • Do you have what we're looking for?

You need to:

  • Be currently studying toward a degree or postgraduate degree (Honours or Masters) in disciplines relevant to Human Resources.
  • Be a student from 2nd year through to penultimate year
  • Be team players with strong leadership potential.
  • Demonstrate drive, ambition and a passion for challenging work in our operations.
  • Actively participate in campus and community life.
  • Be willing and able to work in Central Queensland for the duration of the Vacation Program.
