  • A full time Video Editor with 15 years experience in creating engaging, cinematic videos and social content with quick turnaround times is required at Gary Peer & Associates, a busy Real Estate Agency located in Melbourne's premier suburbs.
  • Video has never been more important in real estate, and we're looking to take things to a whole new level by expanding on the video we already do inhouse. As an editor, you will work within our marketing & video team to edit highquality, stand out content across various platforms and social media.
  • You'll need to be able to work from detailed briefs and follow direction well, while also being able to find creative solutions when detail is scarce, to create engaging content. You'll bring creative flair and new ideas and inspiration to our video content.
  • You'll have the opportunity to:
  • Own & deliver: Interpret briefs and create bespoke video content that reflects your technical and creative ability as an editor, from high end property video, fast paced social content, emotional stories, and corporate interviews. All while maintaining clean production workflows.
  • Promote: Identify opportunities for innovation and demonstrate your expertise with your editing competency.
  • Be bold: Make good, quick decisions confidently while pushing fresh, bold concepts and innovative approaches to take our videos to the next level.

  • Essential for this role:
  • 1-5 years professional video editing experience and a well-developed folio showcasing your work preferably across the property, architecture, corporate and event sectors.
  • An eye for detail and visual aesthetics including lighting, lensing, and exposure.
  • Competency with Adobe suite, in particular Premiere Pro (bonus, competency with Davinci Resolve and Final Cut).
  • Motion Graphics and colour grading experience.
  • An understanding of video production processes.
  • A desire to learn how to operate camera equipment and understand filming techniques.
  • An understanding of current and emerging video trends
  • The ability to take direction and feedback well.
  • Good communication and organisation skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail.
  • An interest in audio and sound design as well as new technology and software's.
  • An unrestricted driver's license, and a vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, produce and deliver multiple property videos per week
  • Assist with other video projects (social media, events, profiles etc.)
  • Assist/contribute to preproduction, creative pitching and brainstorming
  • Explore unique ways to convey real estate and people
