About the role:

AGA is currently seeking 2nd or 3rd year apprentices with either Domestic or Commercial experience with Lighting and Power.

Applicants must be willing to work in the commercial space across different sites are required across Melbourne metro and CBD.


As part of your apprenticeship with AGA you will be required to complete training with a registered training organisation (RTO).

AGA will arrange all training requirements and work closely with you to ensure you are progressing in line with your training plan.


Our organisation is focused on providing support and mentoring to the successful apprentice as well as providing on the job training for approximately 4 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical and electronic control systems
  • Assemble electrical and electronic components and appliances
  • Connect electrical equipment to power supplies
  • Maintain automated production processes
  • Select and cut wires or cables
  • Connect wires or cables to terminals or connectors according to wiring diagrams
  • Operate and maintain machine tools such as lathes, drilling machines, welding and heating equipment, and hoists

Requirements:

  • Roughing in experience
  • Fitting off experience
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Hold a driver's license
  • Obtain a Working with Children Check to be able to work on education institution sites
  • Strong willed and determined to complete the work overtime
  • Hearing and medical test required
  • Must be Australian Citizen or resident
  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training (Paid for by AGA)
  • Willing to commute across Melbourne Metro and CBD
