Hessel GTO are currently looking for a Aged Care Trainees to begin their career working within the community setting. Shifts will be available in the Southern Suburbs, with specific focus around Brighton, Marion, Aberfoyle and Aldinga. You will become a qualified and skilled Aged Care Support Worker within 12 months

Why a traineeship?


A traineeship is a great way to achieve nationally recognised qualifications and kickstart a fulfilling career, all whilst getting paid from day one.

You will have the support and guidance of a dedicated Field Officer throughout your entire Traineeship journey.

General duties you will learn and perform throughout your Traineeship include:

  • Provide services including personal care
  • Meal preparation
  • General cleaning duties such as changing bed linens, tidying rooms
  • Assist with mobility and transport to and from appointments
  • Communicate with family members to provide updates on observations
  • Provide social support and escort elderly clients to outings and excursions
  • Interpret care plans and follow health and safety guidelines

What you will need to succeed:
No experience in Aged Care is needed. You will require a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within a respected industry.

To be successful in this role you will need to have or be willing to obtain the below:

  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination x2 and Booster
  • Proof of Influenza Vaccination
  • Drivers Licence
  • Car in good roadworthy condition and willingness to obtain a roadworthy certificate
  • National Police Check or willingness to obtain
To be eligible for this traineeship you must not have previously completed a Certificate III in Aged Care


To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
