About the Role:

The Non Operator Audit Coordinator role is part of Accounting and Reporting.

Finance and is accountable for coordinating audits of Woodside's partners to meet JOA requirements and for defending expenditures in Woodside Operated properties.

Includes coordination of timely response to audits of these properties from beginning through closure.


The Non Operator Audit Coordinator will be located in Perth, Australia and report to the JV Audit Manager (located in Houston).


Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary accountabilities are:

  • Scheduling confirm JV partner request to audit
  • Preaudit organise transaction listings, prepare transaction support (run BOT for SAP support, download contracts and variations, organisation charts, etc) for incoming auditor
  • Audit Hosting establish auditor access to audit space, hold opening conference, coordinate auditor requests (Information Requests IR) by linking with functions that hold data. Hold closing conference to confirm preliminary exceptions.
  • Post Audit followup on open IRs, review audit with region.
  • Audit Response
  • Providing formal responses to all audit exceptions in accordance with Woodside's joint operating agreements (JOAs), accounting procedures, operating practices, and industry standards, directly researching and coordinating with multiple areas in the business to obtain information as necessary; Review AFE and be able to identify whether the AFE is associated with a Major Construction Project, Drilling Project, Expense, Integrated Project Team.
  • Audit Rebuttal
  • Responding to all coowner audit rebuttals in accordance with Woodside's JOAs to meet contractual obligations; Follow Delegation of approval of financial grants.
  • Ensuring audit deadlines are met and appropriate tracking of audit findings are maintained for reporting purposes.

Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of SAP Finance systems and processes. SAP experience is essential.
  • Demonstrable understanding of costing process
  • Exposure to Joint Venture processes including nonoperator audits.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills including nonfinance customers.
  • Strong analytical, teamwork and problemsolving skills. Being able to review, understand and identify Woodside's operating practices, Joint Operating Agreements and Contracts is the basis for this role.
  • Chartered Accountant is preferable but not mandatory. Beneficial if applicant has variety of experience.
