Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world's best systems and processes.

The Deposits, Pricing and Governance Crew is responsible for the manufacturing and profitable growth of Retail Savings and Term Deposit Products. Our responsibilities include the product strategy, product design, pricing, customer experience, risk and day to day management of the Deposit suite of products.

Reporting to the Chapter Lead, your role as a Product Manager is key in supporting both the operational management and optimisation of the Term Deposits portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity where you will have the opportunity to tackle a diverse range of initiatives from day-to-day product management activities to the execution of major initiatives and projects that deliver against our key business priorities to deliver on our vision to deliver simple, innovative and accessible customer experiences.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead and execute initiatives to enhance, simplify or mitigate risk across the Deposits portfolio
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify and manage operational initiatives and other compliance obligations
  • Understand dynamics of the Term Deposits and Passbook portfolio, including key drivers, trends and leading indicators, and ideate plans to adapt to changing conditions and opportunities
  • Understand our risks and develop solutions to reduce and control them
  • Understand and listen to the voice of the customer, be across and predict industry trends to identify customer improvements to support our customers meet their goals
  • Foster a collaborative culture across the broader team, ensuring CommBank values are demonstrated at all times

  • Experience presenting analysis to Senior Leaders
  • Risk Mindset -All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
  • Proven track record of performance and delivery with a high degree of integrity and judgement
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a high level of commercial acumen
  • Previous Product Management or Financial Services experience
  • Tertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce Degree
