What you need to be successful in this role

  • Effective verbal and written communication with ability to adapt communication as appropriate to their audience.
  • Negotiation skills, able to resolve conflict and assess when to escalate issues.
  • A high level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling and environmental requirements of the position.
  • Uses problem solving and technical skills to solve maintenance, contract, and scheduling issues.
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise work of a small team.
  • Skills and Experience which will make you stand out
  • Sound numeracy and computer skills, particularly MS Office; including the capacity to learn new IT systems.

Must have's OR Essential

  • A demonstrated commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct.
  • Be willing to undergo a Police Check
  • Hold a current NDIS Check or be willing to obtain
  • Hold a current Working with Children's check or be willing to obtain
  • A White Card and practical understanding of WHS requirements.
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • A current driver's license
  • Physical fitness to meet manual handling requirements

Nice to have's OR Desirable

  • A minimum Cert III in a trade and/or Cleaning Operations certificate; or equivalent
  • Formal team leadership training and/or equivalent knowledge and experience
- with demonstrated ability to supervise and support staff.

  • Experience with working with people with disabilities, particularly in a service
- provision context

  • Knowledge and experience in Electrical Test and Tagging including but not limited to: testing and tagging equipment (eg Metrel and Wavecom), Testing office and household appliances, 3 phase testing, RCDs and testing of emergency and exit lighting.
