Details:


ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and suitable individual to fill the position of Director, Contracts and Procurement (SOGB), within the Finance Unit.

The successful applicant will provide leadership, planning, technical and business support to procurement and purchasing activities, including supplier and vendor management.

You will also provide effective and efficient administration, as administrator of all ACTCS contracts.

In addition, you will deliver the ACTCS annual procurement plan, monitor the status of all contracts to ensure compliance and delivery of services according to each contract, with WHS considerations, record keeping and maintaining an audit trail, while monitoring the lifecycle and cost control for all ACTCS contracts.

Further to this, you will coach and support operational managers to meet their obligations around contracts, contractual management, procurement, contractual KPIs or performance objectives, compliance tracking and reporting to satisfy business needs.

To be successful, you will have a strong background in delivering contracts and procurement services, including people management, sound administrative and organisational skills, demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, co-ordinate, navigate contemporary procurement systems, provide innovative workflow solutions associated with a complex and busy business environment.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
Formal qualifications in Procurement and Contracting highly desirable.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a National Police Check.
This position requires a pre-employment medical.

This is a temporary position available for a period of up to six months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
