About the Role

At Goodman Fielder, we are embarking on a journey to transform our business, and we are seeking ambitious individuals who are eager to turn our vision into reality. We are deeply passionate about our brands and fostering a culture that fosters a belief in limitless potential. As part of this, we are in search of a motivated Sales Analyst to join our team. In this newly established role, you will be responsible for coordinating and analyzing activities related to Bakery and Grocery Accounts across different customer segments within the independent channel. Your tasks will involve reporting, forecasting, promotions, pricing, scan data, and claims management.

Specifically, you will:
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring Joint Business Plan (JBP) category initiatives
  • Consistently evaluate the in-year plan and financial metrics to provide insights to the sales team on risks and opportunities to achieve the annual financial budget
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of inputs for the Field Team Promotional planner and Clash-grids Nationally
  • Execute and monitor customer seasonal sales strategies to enhance gross profit and volume
  • Collaborate with the National sales team to synchronize and implement volume and NSV forecasts, analyze deviations from the budget, and identify potential risks and opportunities
About You
  • Completion of tertiary education in Business or Commerce (or related field)
  • 0-2 years of experience in a Sales/analytical support position or similar role
  • Excellent planning abilities
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills (essential)
  • Adept at building strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated resilience, perseverance, and analytical thinking
  • Keen eye for detail and a mindset focused on continuous improvement
  • Understanding of FMCG/Retail trade (advantageous)
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office is essential)
  • Familiarity with SAP/Promax/Aztec/Nielsen (Advantageous)
