Telehealth & Mental Health Coach - Night Shift

Working from home, you will provide brief phone and webchat support to our service users who typically present with mental health concerns.
We're looking for individuals passionate about supporting people experiencing emotional distress, depression, and anxiety to join our community-based team and make a difference every day.
This is a
fixed term full time opportunity, working 37.5hrs per week across the 24/7 service as part of our
overnight roster team with
start times varying between 8pm - 10pm AEDT/ AEST.

About you:
You are a warm, empathic, kind, and patient individual who cares about making a difference to people's lives and help them feel less distressed.
You will have experience in a behaviour change/help seeking role however, as this is an entry level role into the Mental Health field, there is no requirement for specific qualification or registration.
As a Mental Health Coach, you will deliver front -line support to help seekers in our community who present with emotional distress, anxiety, and depression symptoms.
You are:
- Selfmotivated and tech savvy with strong administration and time management skills
- Resilient and can cope with high volume of calls and chats discussing complex mental health symptoms and life circumstances
- Open to working in a team to support one another to learn and engage in continuous professional development
- Experienced in working with diverse communities (desirable)
- Pursuing a counselling or mental health related qualification (desirable)
- No more than two years into a mental health related degree (Counselling, Social Work, Psychology)
You will be supported by an induction program which has been developed to scaffold, support, and safeguard BBSS Coaches in their first 12 months.
Our aim is to help you develop competence in building your mental health support skills and confidence over the year.
You will be provided with relevant technology equipment to support you with your WFH setup however will be required to have the following:- Private room/space which can be used for your home office set up
- Reliable/stable internet connection
- Demonstrated IT skills and proficiency in telephonybased systems where you are comfortable navigating multiple software, digital note taking and counselling and support simultaneously.
