The Opening:

Positioned in Coolaroo, Victoria, the Site Supervisor will oversee the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects for employees and visitors, showcasing apt safety leadership qualities.

Responsibilities:

Directly reporting to the State Operations Manager, you are expected to achieve the following primary objectives;

  • Effectively manage employee relations issues to ensure favorable outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Meet operational EBITDA targets aligned with KPIs and budget constraints.
  • Formulate action plans and spearhead enhancement initiatives to boost plant efficiencies transparently, yielding the required outcomes.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to the leadership team, steering them in the right direction.
  • Continuously monitor and manage business performance against financial plans.
  • Spearhead cost-cutting strategies within the organization while guaranteeing minimal expenses.
  • Uphold harmonious relationships with internal and external customers, aiding in the resolution of emergent issues.
  • Handle Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for supply, consumption, and future stock control strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) KPIs as outlined by business protocols.
  • Demonstrate, encourage, and nurture a safety-conscious and environmentally responsible culture within the plant.
  • Manage employee salaries in line with KPIs and budgetary allocations.
  • Develop daily and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress effectively.
  • Implement LEAN methodology in the business operations.
  • Participate in the recruitment process when necessary to ensure suitable staffing within the organization.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and necessary support to your team, ensuring access to essential resources and skills for achieving targeted budgetary objectives.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and promptly address any arising issues, documenting all rectifications.

Qualifications:

  • Prior Experience in team management within a process manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in mechanical aspects and robust problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in organizing and conducting meetings.
  • Strong time management competencies.
  • Ability to provide training and mentorship to others.
