About the Role
This position is a 1-year term contract position, as the Relief operator, you are responsible for providing self-managed Cleansing services that ensures Parramatta's Public domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city and to promote Parramatta as Australia's next great city

Duties will include:

  • Undertaking inspections to the public domain and assets
  • Implementing work practices in line with waste and cleansing industry
  • Previous experience operating Mechanical Street Sweepers, Garbage Rear loading Compactors and operating a highpressure cleaning unit pressure cleaning pavement

Hours:
Monday-Friday between
6am-2.30pm.
You will be starting and finishing at Council's Rydalmere Operations Depot or Council's Wentworth Street Compound Parramatta as required

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role and operational environment
  • Competent understanding of small and heavy plant operations applicable to Cleansing Services.

Qualifications (Level)

  • Hold a current NSW Driver's Licence (Minimum MR Class or higher).
  • Hold a current (TCR, IMP) traffic controller
  • Possession of a current WorkCover approved forklift licence (LF) (Desirable).
  • Possession of a construction industry certificate "White Card".
  • Chainsaw Licence (desirable)
  • Power line Awareness
  • Asbestos Awareness

Skills

  • The capability to undertake the physical requirements of the role and area of specialisation.
  • Proven ability to work flexibly as part of a team

We are offering a salary range of $1,132.20 to $1,246.76 per week plus 10.5% superannuation.
