The role
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated
Mechanical Tradesperson. Reporting to the Supervisor - Mechanical Maintenance the Mechanical Tradesperson will provide coverage at our
Kwinana site.

Great opportunities for development and advancing your skills on heavy industry equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and commitment to safety, quality and the environment
  • Carrying out mechanical repairs on a range of fixed plant with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance
  • Administrative tasks within the maintenance planning system
  • Focus on continuous improvement ideas
  • Provide a leadership role on shutdowns as required

What you will need to succeed

  • Trade qualified (Mechanical Fitter) preferably with a background in the mining or heavy industry
  • Vehicle license and High Risk license including Fork lift, EWP
  • Confined Space and Gas Testing qualifications
  • Post Trade certificate and experience in hydraulics, pneumatics and welding
  • Computer literacy, requiring experience using maintenance planning system
  • A confident, selfmotivated, energetic individual
  • A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility
  • Ability to work, at times, autonomously and without direct supervision
