There is an exciting opportunity to work with the whole school team as a teacher within the Learning Enhancement Team.
Forest Lake SHS has an inclusive approach and as an English as an Additional Language or Dialect support teacher you will have a varied role, devising adjustments to learning to support students to access the curriculum and teaching students within mainstream and specialist classes.
The role of the FLSHS EALD teacher also includes case management of students to provide holistic support.FLSHS is dedicated to supporting early careers teachers.
If you are a beginning teacher in your first year of teaching, FLSHS offers additional support in the form of professional coaching from an external provider for 12 months.
It would be an advantage if you also:
- Are familiar with Marzano's pedagogical framework 'The Art and Science of Teaching'
- Have experience or knowledge in the program 'Writers Toolbox'.Forest Lake State High School is dedicated to supporting early careers teachers. - Attach your current CV including contact details of two professional referees (one of whom is your current supervisor) and a maximum 2 page written response outlining your suitability for the role under "How You Will Be Assessed"
- Preservice teachers are encouraged to include completed practicum reports, mentor/referee statements, unofficial academic transcript for current course of study
