About the role:


Newington College is looking to appoint a motivated, dynamic, and diligent Legal and Policy Officer to contribute to its Legal and Risk Services team.


The Legal and Policy Officer will report to the Legal and Governance Manager and work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Headmaster in ensuring the College meet its strategic objectives and legal obligations at all times.

The role also works closely with the Headmaster and College Council in ensuring the College Council is provided with effective and efficient board secretarial support.

This role is full-time, permanent and based at our Stanmore secondary campus.

About you:

In addition, possess the following attributes:

  • Highly organised across competing demands from the Legal and Governance Manager
  • A selfstarter attitude with initiative to anticipate and circumvent problems, find solutions and implement efficiencies to ensure projects move forward.
  • A high level of digital fluency including experience with the Microsoft suite and the ability to quickly understand and adopt new technologies.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and knowledge of current effective digital presentation tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to inspire the confidence of stakeholders. Highenergy, drive and enthusiasm and welldeveloped team membership skills.
  • Experience in an educational environment or with child safeguarding is desirable but not essential.
