Position Summary

Mental health promotions Officer

  • RPN4 or allied health equivilant
  • Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a suitably qualified person to join our enthusiastic and dedicated Mental Health Promotions Team on a part time, ongoing basis.
  • This position will service the Baw Baw communities and other areas as required.
  • Mental Health Promotion includes services that operate on a population level which aim to raise awareness of mental health issues, improve mental health literacy, reduce stigma and discrimination and maximise the population's mental health and wellbeing.
  • The Mental Health Promotions Officer is responsible for the provision of communitywide activities that provide information and education designed to enhance community understanding, increase the likelihood of identifying and addressing mental health problems and promote good mental health. These programs may be targeted towards specific atrisk communities or communities affected by trauma.
