About the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Community section. We are seeking an experienced customer-focused candidate to join our Community team to undertake caretaking roles at our various neighbourhood centres, community centres and community hubs across Blacktown City.

The role requires providing customer support to organisations and individuals using community facilities and ensuring that facilities are safe, well-used, well maintained and smoothly run.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service role
• Computer literate in basic office applications and the ability to quickly learn corporate applications
• Ability to work within a team environment and with minimal supervision.

Desirable:

• Current class C driver's Licence
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

• An hourly rate applies at $ Grade 5, entry level) plus 25% casual loading and penalty rates apply for weekend shifts. The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
• Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
