About the Role:
Quad Lock is currently looking for a Test Engineer to join the Product Design & Engineering Department.
The Test Engineer is required to work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure the quality, durability and reliability of the company's products.
The position requires a deep understanding of the product development process, from concept through to production,as well as experience in the development and execution of test plans for consumer products.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and OEM customers, to ensure products meet the company's standards for usability, functionality, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise testing requirements.Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Quad Lock's products.
Design and build physical testing rigs required to support testing.
Manage testing programs performed both internally and at external test providers.
Conduct thorough exploratory testing to identify potential issues and defects early in the development process.
Manage & mentor Junior Test Engineers where applicable.
Create and maintain documentation related to the testing process and test results.
Actively participate in DFMEA and PFMEA processes.
Analyse test results and provide feedback to the design team on areas for improvement.
Participate in Root Cause analysis activities.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in testing and quality assurance and incorporate them into the testing process.
Some overseas travel may be required.What You'll Bring to the Role: Previous experience as a Test or Development Engineer in any of the following industries: Commercial Testing Facilities, Automotive/Aerospace, Consumer Goods Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)Practical working knowledge of industry environmental testing standards and methods.
Hands-on experience with a wide range of test instrumentation and hardware/software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
General understanding of manufacturing technologies and materials properties.
Proficient in Solidworks and FEA methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong initiative with an inquisitive and can-do attitude.
