Building on our strong reputation and long-standing contracts in power distribution, transmission, and water operations and maintenance, we are poised for significant growth.


As we prepare for this exciting new phase, we're launching a new Utilities Operations and Maintenance business in Western Australia.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for multiple key roles to establish our business in Perth giving you the opportunity to be part of the journey as we bolster our capacity to deliver operations and maintenance services within the utilities sector.


The Role:
Expression of Interest - Scheduler

  • The Planner/Scheduler plays a crucial role in efficiently organising planned works to align with UGL and client deadlines, optimizing the utilisation of UGL workforce, trades, and associated resources. By crafting appropriate work schedules, the scheduler enables supervisors to achieve high levels of utilisation, minimising downtime and ensuring ample resources for substantial projects. Timely communication of the schedule to all key stakeholders is a key responsibility to keep everyone wellinformed.

About You

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently schedule powerline works, utilising project management tools and methodologies to optimize timelines.
  • Proficient in implementing and utilizing realtime monitoring systems to track project progress, allowing for swift decisionmaking and issue resolution.
  • Strong skills in allocating and managing resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to enhance workflow efficiency and costeffectiveness.
  • Experience in tailoring project workflows to specific requirements, accommodating various phases, tasks, and dependencies for a personalized and effective project plan.
  • Familiarity with setting up automated reminder systems to ensure timely notifications for upcoming tasks, inspections, and milestones, preventing delays.
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration and communication among team members by providing a centralised platform for accessing project schedules and information.
  • Knowledge of integrating weather forecasts into project scheduling to anticipate and plan for adverse conditions, minimizing weatherrelated delays and risks.
  • Effective document management capabilities, ensuring that all projectrelated documentation is organized and easily accessible for team members, reducing errors.
  • Ability to generate insightful reports on project progress, resource utilization, and potential bottlenecks, facilitating datadriven decisionmaking for future projects.
  • Comfortable with userfriendly interfaces designed for easy navigation, ensuring accessibility for all team members, regardless of their technical expertise.
