About the role

As a Trainee Accountant, you will join our broader finance business partnering team to support across end to end accounting activities for our Tech & Digital divisions. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in accounting with amazing opportunities for career progression and development.

Reporting to the Commercial Accountant - Digital, you will support across invoice processing, end of period reporting, month end tasks and general finance administration.

What's involved:

  • Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, in accordance with Bunnings policies and procedures
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting for Tech & Digital teams: end of period reporting across allocated costs and digitally enabled sales
  • Assisting in finance project management tasks across Tech & Digital teams
  • Ensuring all forecast files are accurately updated and reconciled to the source systems
Who we're looking for

You will be eager to grow your career within finance and be willing to learn and develop your skills. You will have well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal and have good time management and organisation skills.

You'll need:
  • Experience in finance or accounting related function (ideally a minimum of 1 year)
  • Completion of Commerce or business degree with relevant accounting and finance majors is essential
  • Commenced or looking to commence CA/CPA would be highly regarded
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Good attention to detail
