As a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2, you will provide mental health consultation liaison, clinical assessments, and advice for consumers, staff and other relevant stakeholders admitted within the medical inpatient wards/units at Blue Mountains Hospital.

The role focuses on delivering evidence based clinical interventions within best practice models of care to achieve good clinical outcomes for consumers.

What you will bring to the role:
Current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse.

A registered nurse who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.

In addition who has a post graduate qualification in the specialist nursing field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the LHD.Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development frameworkProven ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the utilization of evidence based researchDemonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organizational behaviour, change management and cultural change processesDemonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and experience in the development of specialty education programsDemonstrated clinical expertise in patient-centred consultancy with the ability to workA current NSW drivers licence including P1 or above and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
