Dewatering Superintendent

The
Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct
Snowy 2.0.

This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

The Dewatering Superintendent will oversee teams for the Design, procurement installation, commissioning and maintenance of water systems, dewatering systems, compressed air systems, water treatment plants, pipeline reticulation, both surface and underground.

• Qualification in Mechanical/Process Engineering or Equivalent ability
• White Card
• Driving License

• Extensive experience in civil or tunnelling construction, typically 15+ years of experience
• Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
• At least 5 years of experience working in a similar role on a project of comparable size and complexity
• Experience with Dewatering, Compressed Air and Water Systems
• Experience with Process and Water Treatment Plant, Reverse Osmosis, MBR, etc.
• Experience in in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording.
• Experience in Managing Relationships, People Management
• Experience in Safety, Community and Environmental Management
• Experience in Quality Management and Planning & Resourcing
• Experience Managing large multiskills, direct and indirect workers.
• Ideally an understanding and exposure to Water Treatment Plant, Hydraulic systems, piping and pump stations (Desing, Installation, Operation and Maintenance).
• Ability to supervise team members, produce method statements and work closely with safety and other departments to control and maintain project safety standards.
• Demonstrate a positive "cando" attitude.
• Ability to lead and manage teams
• Demonstrate initiative and creative problemsolving skills
• Practical knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages.
• Good communication skill, both oral and written
• Selfmotivated.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Management Operational background
• Ability to implement and follow through on multiple issues and to achieve productive results

• Manage teams to see the successful procurement, planning, installation, commissioning and maintenance of water, dewatering systems, compressed air systems, water treatment plants, pipeline reticulation for both surface and underground
• Oversee the achievement of water balance across the project activities and processing plants
• Manage ongoing operations of all Dewatering and waste water treatment plants
• Manage all pipe installations and working with Tunnelling on their in critical areas
