About Allied Health Research Unit
Allied Health is a significant research unit at the Women's Research Centre.
It supports the Women's to achieve its strategic directions by the provision of research activity by allied health professionals (therapists and scientists).
The Allied Health Research Unit promotes and supports contemporary, professional research and clinical practices within a collaborative framework. The unit promotes pathways for emerging and experienced allied health professionals to engage in research.About the role
In the Research Fellow role, you will support the Director of Allied Health Research. You will assist allied health professionals to participate and be supervised in producing and implementing high-quality research.
This is ultimately to promote a greater understanding of allied health's contributions to health, wellbeing, quality and safety of care for Women, newborns, and their families; and in enhancing our reputation as leaders in the field of allied health research in women's health and newborn care.
A regular day will see you:
- Supporting clinicians to search for evidence-practice gaps, implement clinical practice guidelines, through mentoring and supervising
- Encouraging clinicians to seek and engage in research opportunities
- Maintain an allied health research activity database
About you
You will be a passionate allied health professional with motivation to develop research expertise in others and in generating research outputs for allied health.
You'll bring with you:
- Qualification in allied health profession
- Current AHPRA registration without limitations (and for those not registered. eligibility or membership from relevant professional association)
