The Compliance Manager is responsible for driving the implementation of TPG Telecom's compliance management framework and providing compliance oversight over the business operations.

The role is responsible for collaborating and coordinating with various teams including Legal and Regulatory, People Experience, Enterprise Risk and the wider business.

This role reports into the Senior Compliance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with implementation of a compliance management framework.
  • Implementing a compliance control program to review and evaluate the company's adherence to policies and regulations by independently assessing processes and controls in place.
  • Overseeing maintenance and implementation of the company's internal policy framework and training of policies.
  • Implementing the risk management framework to identify, mitigate, monitor, and report on compliance risk.
  • Implementing and managing processes to deal with compliance issues, breaches and incident reporting.
  • Overseeing the compliance training program by collaborating with the business and Learning and Development teams.
  • Providing advice to business stakeholders to help them achieve their compliance objectives.
  • Maintaining and developing compliance process and tools and driving continuous improvement of the compliance management framework.
  • Working closely with the Regulatory team to identify regulatory developments and coordinate implementation of regulatory processes and controls by the business.
  • Preparation of insightful, concise and timely reports for senior management, the Audit and Risk Committee and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  • Overseeing implementation, management and enhancements to GRC tool(s).
  • Working with the broader risk and audit team on adhoc projects.

Knowledge and experience

  • Substantial experience in compliance, legal or related fields within a major corporate or consulting firm.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and regulatory compliance programs. Understanding of telecommunications legislations and regulatory requirements highly regarded.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity, impact, and influence through verbal and written communications.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience in dealing with senior management.
  • Highly efficient with demonstrated ability to prioritise, schedule and meet challenging deadlines.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, Finance, Risk Management, or similar discipline.
