$70,000 plus super


White Deer Park Pty Ltd is a livestock and equine sports breeding and training company focused in Polo and cattle breeding.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Horse Trainer to take on a fulfilling role at White Deer Park, with opportunities for both personal and professional development.

You will be confident in forming strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders, and will be able to hit the ground running.


Duties:

  • Preparing horses for breeding, including diet and physical training
  • Inspecting and managing maintenance of stables
  • Feeding and managing grooming of horses
  • Maintaining horse health records (including immunisations) and working with veterinarians to ensure horses are healthy and suitable for breeding in terms
  • Tending to health and wellbeing of foals prior to transfer
  • Monitoring pest and insecticide control
  • Injury identification and treatment
  • Sickness identification and treatment
  • Behavioural and desensitisation training and management

Qualifications:

Applicant must have one of the following:

  • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training; OR
  • AQF Certificate IV plus two years of postqualification experience; OR
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience

Skills

  • Keen to learn and can work in a productive team environment.
  • Willing to follow directions and able to complete tasks with great attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, honest and well presented
  • Experience working with horses essential
  • Experience with horseriding essential

Required

  • Valid full drivers licence

Salary:
$70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Afternoon shift
  • Evening shift
  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift

Experience:

  • Equine: 3 years (required)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (required)

Ability to Commute:

  • RICHMOND, NSW 2753 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • RICHMOND, NSW 2753: Relocate before starting work (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (preferred)
