Launceston, Tasmania, Australia Searson Buck Full time

Join Searson Buck and Tasmania's premier nursing agencies, Nurseline and Pulse Nursing Employment, in their mission to deliver premium healthcare services across the island.

We're seeking a passionate Clinical Manager - Agency Workforce to champion clinical excellence and support our dedicated nurses in delivering exceptional care.

With two decades of experience supplying agency nurses to Tasmania's acute hospital, aged care, and community sectors, Nurseline and Pulse Nursing Employment are renowned for our commitment to recruiting the best talent. Now, we're expanding our team with a key role focused on elevating clinical standards and nurturing our nursing workforce.

As the Clinical Manager - Agency Workforce, you'll be instrumental in providing our nurses with unparalleled clinical support and education, ensuring they're equipped with the latest healthcare practices. Collaborating closely with the State Manager - Health, you'll uphold our reputation for excellence by guiding our nurses towards optimal clinical expertise and practice.

Key responsibilities include providing in-field preceptorship support to graduates and newly arrived overseas nurses, liaising with Nursing Unit and Facility Managers to facilitate seamless induction and ongoing educational support, and fostering relationships with healthcare stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical governance and leadership within acute and aged care settings.
  • A track record of mentoring nursing staff to achieve high standards of clinical performance and outcomes.
  • Previous engagement with healthcare professionals and community services to enhance service delivery.
  • Insight into training and educational needs of agency nurses, including collaboration with delivery partners.
  • Proficiency in clinical evaluations, performance reviews, and care documentation systems.
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety legislation, with a focus on injury and risk mitigation.
  • Essential qualifications including a minimum of 5 years' clinical experience, current registration with AHPRA, and familiarity with relevant legislation and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and a valid driver's licence for statewide travel.

This full-time permanent position offers will be based in our Launceston office, with occasional out-of-hours work and statewide travel required. Applicants are invited to submit a one-page Covering Letter outlining their experience and suitability for the role, with a detailed Position Description available upon request.

If you're ready to make a meaningful impact within Tasmania's nursing community and contribute to the success of Nurseline and Pulse Nursing Employment, contact Christie Hopp at or to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
