The Principal Technical Specialist (SWMIS) role is required to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of large scale and complex technical solutions and provide expert technical advice whilst ensuring alignment with contemporary Information Management (IM)/Information Communication Technology (ICT) frameworks.


To achieve this you will:

  • Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe, services and workplaces.
  • Influence and provide expert technical advice and leadership to Queensland Health Program/Project teams and key decision makers relating to ICT project infrastructure testing, development and ongoing integration.
  • Oversee and lead ICT technical implementations within a project management framework across multiple complex and diverse Queensland Health change programs and initiatives based on clients' business and technical requirements.
  • Provide high level input and advice to ensure that service delivery meets future client demands.
  • Work closely with other Design, Project, Operations and Architecture Office staff to manage collaborative relationships and consultations with senior stakeholders across Queensland Health and external technology vendors to develop, implement and integrate required changes to architecture, design and management of ICT infrastructure.

Your experience should include expertise in:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading the deployment of large or complex systems and providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques and methods and tools for large scale complex organisations
