Located just 5kms from Melbourne CBD, Flemington Vet Hospital is an inner-city suburb where we value high-level patient care and great working relationships. If you are passionate about patient care and have a knack for developing strong relationships, then you might be the ideal candidate. Working alongside a team of dedicated nurses, reception staff, and vet team in a state-of-the-art clinic, you will play a crucial role in leading the Clinic Team, managing recruitment, supporting team members' development, maintaining workplace health & safety practices, and driving clinic performance and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:

  • People and Operational Leadership
    • Lead the Clinic Team with a focus on accountability, empathy, and openness.
    • Manage recruitment and support team members through development and regular feedback.
    • Maintain workplace health & safety practices within the clinic.
  • Clinic Performance and Driving Sustainability
    • Champion clinic budgeting and strategic planning.
    • Demonstrate balanced decision making considering both clinical and commercial outcomes.
  • Client Experience
    • Drive a customer-focused culture and deliver the highest level of customer service.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, vets, and team members on various enquiries.

Who you are:

  • Experience in veterinary practice management highly desirable, but open to out-of-industry applications.
  • A passion for delivering excellent patient care and customer service.
  • Strong computer literacy, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A genuine love for animals and their well-being.
