The Role

As an Experienced Maintenance Employee in the Roads team, you will use your high level of skills and knowledge to perform a range of asset and infrastructure maintenance activities throughout the Latrobe City municipality.

Working hours will be from 7:00AM - 4:00PM with 9-day fortnight. Workdays will be starting and concluding at Latrobe City Council's depot at Driffield Rd, Morwell.

About You

For this role we are seeking an experienced road maintenance employee with drive to produce work of the highest quality. You will have demonstrated skills and experience across the range of plant and equipment typically used in the maintenance of roads, drainage and vegetation.

Your communication will be friendly and professional to be able to communicate with the public, clients and other employees.

You will have:

  • Current Heavy Rigid Vehicle Licence
  • Current Traffic Control and Worksite Management certificate.
  • Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Competency operating plant and vehicles used in road maintenance including but not limited to Tractor and slasher/reach mower, motor grader, skid steer loader, excavator, compaction equipment and flocon
  • Practical experience undertaking road and drainage maintenance and minor civil construction works.
  • Possess a basic level of digital literacy with an advanced level of digital literacy highly desirable.
  • Experience working with a Municipal Council or similar authority is desirable
