About the role:


The Strategy Partner - Process Improvement and Optimisation will play an important role in developing and executing process optimisation strategies to drive operational excellence and improve the experience for our customers & team members.

This role is designed to be agile and presents opportunity to be involved across different projects and functions.

You'll have the ability to directly impact the business and customers so projects may include improving our customer NPS scores, optimising how we onboard new Business customers or enhancing our click & collect process.


Key activities include:

  • Work with senior stakeholders to identify & scope major opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders to map and document endtoend business processes, perform root cause analysis, conduct GEMBA walks and identify pain points
  • Define and establish KPIs to measure process performance. Collect, analyse and interpret operational & financial data to identify trends and patterns for process improvement
  • Develop process optimisation strategies including process simplification, automation (RPA) and digitisation.
  • Build process improvement opportunities into prioritised and executable programs of work.
  • Lead process improvement projects in collaboration with crossfunctional teams managing interdependencies and alignment with projects across the business
  • Leverage a datadriven approach to monitor the impact of process changes. Measure if business results have been achieved and iterate approach if required
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentation and analysis to communicate to key stakeholders, leadership and Board audiences


We operate a hybrid working environment at Officeworks - a combination of working from home (WFH) and our new Corporate office in Chadstone.


About you:

Tertiary qualified, with 3-5+ years of relevant industry and/or management consulting experience, with a focus on process optimisation. Experience and exposure to the retail sector is preferred.

You are a structured, logical thinker who uses a data-led approach to review processes and think strategically about optimisation opportunities including automation and digitisation.

You are comfortable switching between the detail and blue-sky thinking to drive the right business outcomes. You have hands on experience in process improvement, and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen. You also have a worked knowledge of process mapping tools such as BPMN, value stream mapping and SIPOC
