Our Family Preservation Reunification (FPR) Response is a collaboration of CatholicCare Victoria and MacKillop Family Services to deliver the FPR Response, in the Loddon area of Victoria.

The Community Connector position provides support across the FPRR program in the Loddon DFFH area with the aim of connecting families to community and strengthening relationships with services in the local area.

Specifically, the position is responsible for:

• Taking a lead role in identifying and creating pathways to community services and resources that promote opportunities for employment, education, housing and social participation, including resource development.
• Supporting and encouraging families to become connected to groups and community activities.
• Strengthening understanding in service partners of the unique complexities and disadvantages within our families and how these barriers can impact their engagement with services.

To be considered for this position, applicants require:

• Significant work experience in a relevant field which supports an understanding of key child development issues relating to young parents and their families who have complex needs.
• Welldeveloped understanding of the FPRR and/or family services and the needs of the families engaged in the program.
• As a condition of employment, CatholicCare Victoria as an employer will collect, record and store vaccination information on employees where required in line with the Privacy Act. All CatholicCare Victoria workers are to be fully vaccinated (boosted), unless they are an Excepted Person for medical reasons. All applicants must therefore be able to comply with this requirement. This means that successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of their vaccination status to CatholicCare Victoria prior to commencement of employment._
