About the role

We are currently seeking a Service Project Engineer from a Electrical or Mechanical Building Services background to form a key part of our public infrastructure project based in Canterbury (Sydney). This role will focus on coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time, quality and budget objectives safely.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of Laing O'Rourke's safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and un-environmentally conscious working practices and occurrences.
  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities of the project to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications.
  • Provide project engineering support to the construction teams to facilitate the construction process.
  • Coordinate the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of new services.
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress.
  • Direct interface with the construction crews to collect data on information required for project status, cost reporting and forecasting.

About you

  • Can read Civil, Structural, Services layout & schematic drawings to find best practices for planning & delivery.
  • Has Experience in civil & structural construction.
  • Has experiences in testing & commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire & Lift services.
  • Has experience in budget preparation, cost tracking and reporting.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • A sound understanding of general Australian standards and how they are implemented on construction projects
