Maintenance Technician, Reliability Maintenance Engineering

Amazon is looking for Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) Technicians to join the team at the Fulfillment Center in Ravenhall for the Day Shift, which includes working on weekends.
The main role of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure adherence to safety regulations and policies, perform preventative maintenance punctually and to a high standard, and ensure high equipment availability through continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment at the site.
- Prioritize health & safety best practices in all tasks.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with teams, and efficiently solve issues.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and suggesting enhancements.
- Ensure high equipment availability for internal customers.
- Support and gain knowledge from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
Our RME Technicians work on-site, swiftly addressing machinery issues, performing planned preventative maintenance for safe operation, responding quickly to breakdowns, and suggesting long-term improvements. They collaborate with senior colleagues on daily maintenance tasks, including general building maintenance.
About the TeamThe Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon ensures equipment performs optimally. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in our global network of fulfillment centers. From automated packaging systems to essential distribution equipment, our team manages various technical aspects to ensure safety and efficiency. Currently, we are looking for candidates to join us in Ravenhall, VIC, AUS.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS- Formal trade qualification: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a current electrical trade license (unrestricted).
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Expertise in fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings.
- Experience in conveyor maintenance and motor controllers/inverters.
- Work experience following appropriate health & safety standards.
- Knowledge of computer maintenance systems (CMMS).
- Experience with sortation machines.
- Background in an industrial environment.
- Experience with bar code scanners maintenance/configuration.
- Experience with print and apply machines.
