Flourish Holistic Services is looking for an experienced and exceptional community Speech Pathologist on casual basis to join our team at 20 Camphora street Tarneit 3029.

Purpose of the Role: Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals. Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.

This position will report to the Clinical Manager

Key Responsibility Area:

  • Providing communication strategies and augmentative or alternative communication devices for a person who cannot communicate verbally.
  • Teaching a person who has had a stroke to swallow safely without choking and/or regain their communication skills.
  • Helping children who have difficulty with their speech such as childhood apraxia of speech.
  • Helping pre-school and school aged children who have difficulty understanding others or difficulty sharing their thoughts, ideas and feelings.
  • Helping children and adults who stutter to speak more fluently and with confidence.
  • Providing advice to parents/carers who have babies or toddlers with feeding and swallowing difficulties.
  • Helping individuals with voice disorders including difficulties with voice quality, pitch or loudness.

KPI's

  • Emphasis on participant satisfaction to increase the client retention rate.
  • Frequent communication with the client whilst keeping the client informed and updated daily.
  • Minimum daily sessions target will be expected to achieve to increase the efficiency.
  • You will be expected to reduce the session cancellation rate to a minimal.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

To apply for the role, you will need to have or be able to obtain the following:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in related field.
  • Discipline-specific professional registration (e.g., SPA)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Certified Speech Pathologist.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC or Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination (or valid exemption)
  • Police Check & International Police Check (only applicable to individuals who have lived overseas)
  • First Aid
  • Driving license and car to commute to the clients.

Hourly Wage Rate - $ $45.00 plus superannuation

Business Operating Hours: Monday – Friday; 9.30am – 5.30pm
