Davidson Technology are currently supporting one of the largest tech-health organisations in Queensland enabling state-wide eHealth innovation, strategy, planning, standards, architecture and governance.

We are seeking to appoint a Master Planner/ Scheduler

About the Role


The purpose of this role is to develop, maintain and review planning and scheduling standards and practices as well as identify and implement planning and scheduling improvement initiatives.

You will provide expert advice on planning and scheduling to ensure the successful delivery of projects and ensure all aspects of project timelines are accurately captured and baselined.


The Master Scheduler role will be dedicated to Portfolio level scheduling across DSB in collaboration with Operations and Performance Branch. This resource will be required to establish a Portfolio Master Schedule of the Capital Portfolio, which encompasses over 100 initiatives. The role will focus on dependencies between projects and programs as well as implementing a shared resource pool model, and effective Portfolio level key milestone reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide expertise and advice on planning and scheduling to ensure the optimum delivery of programs/projects,
  • Identifies and implements planning and scheduling improvement initiatives, including updating the planning and scheduling framework, processes and templates
  • Facilitating planning workshops to ensure proper planning is completed and interdependencies are identified (including documentation of resultant schedules)
  • Manage and report on performance against baselined schedules.
  • Develop, maintain and manage multiple schedules across projects and Master schedules in program
  • Identify Risk and Issues on program and projects based on schedule performance and upcoming activities
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance to identify problem areas and advises possible corrective actions to ensure on time delivery.
  • Ensure the schedules are aligned with best practices for project schedule, GAO Schedule Assessment Guide or DCMA 14Point Schedule Assessment.
  • Map and maintain interdependency linkages to ensure consideration of logic and mutual exclusivity in portfolio selection, and portfolio risk during delivery
  • Provide proactive strategic reporting on the status of the resource pool including net capacity and demand, upcoming skill gaps that need filling, overallocations, and the impact on resourcing of delays in projects.
