Our client is a worldwide well-known and highly respected brand in the electronics industry. With expansion to their business, we have now an opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team.The Role:
Supply Chain Management is a key functional job role at Samsung. This role drives integration and collaboration across multiple functions to implement best-in-class supply chain practices and processes. The Supply Chain management team is accountable for achieving results in alignment with Sales & SCM objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Internally liaises with Sales, Category, Commercial Operations, Order Management, Logistics and Support teams.
Using process & replenishment strategies, maintains the key account target in stock rates, weeks of supply and purchase order management, whilst support business sales targets.
Identifies, creates & develops business inventory opportunities through the use other decision support tools.Reviews, evaluates, and analyses the impact of such changes as new products/prices and promotions, as well as product lifecycle management in the development of the sales planning forecast.
Leads account level forecast as well as a validation role on consensus planning.Analyses the impact of planned promotions & active competitor and market monitoring on planning forecasts using available data to achieve sell-out forecast accuracy targets.
Ensures inventory optimization drives all business decisions with a focus on Weeks of Stock management & inventory aging.Drives internal and external KPI reporting, including root cause analysis and balance score-carding.
Leads internal process improvement projects and participates on external replenishment process improvement projects.
Coordinates Order Processing with Logistics and 3PL partners as well as overseas production teams.
About YOU:
- Degree or Diploma in relevant field
- 5 years of demand forecasting and planning / SCM operation / Customer facing experience / Multidimensional analysis experience
- Experience working with SAP an asset
- Very strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with demonstrated professional and confident style as it relates to customer interaction
- Highly motivated and ability to take ownership of initiative
- Have a passion for customer service and enthusiastic about improving customer experience
- Must be a team player
