Position Information:


Miller Technology High School is a comprehensive high school located in Sydney South West with an enrolment of approximately 770 students, with 85% of students from Language Backgrounds Other than English (LBOTE) and 10% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

A well-established Intensive English Centre is located onsite provides English instruction and cultural orientation for new arrivals, refugees and international students.

A Support Faculty provides high quality educational experiences for students with special learning needs.


The school has a low socio-economic status with a strong focus on quality teaching, literacy, numeracy, engagement and connected learning.

Our students have access to a broad curriculum with our Positive Behaviour for Learning core values of Respect, Inspire, Safe and Excel supporting an inclusive learning environment to aspire students to be the best they can possibly be.

Selection Criteria:


Approval to teach Modern History, Ancient History and English (Years Approval to teach secondary English as a second language or currently completing or currently enrolled in an approved post graduate qualification for teaching English as a second language (secondary) as recognised by the NSW Department of Education.

Willing to teach &/or skills and experience in Public Speaking and Debating.


Demonstrated ability to improve learning outcomes through the development of teaching and learning programs that integrate a range of innovative and differentiated teaching and assessment strategies that meet the learning needs of all students.

Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within the faculty team and to effectively implement whole school initiatives.

Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community.
