About the Role

As a Recycling Attendant you will provide high-level of customer service and assistance to the Maitland community and visitors by supervising activities in the recycling area, including the Community Recycling Centre and providing advice on the correct disposal of waste items to increase resource recovery within the facility and reduce waste to landfill.

Along with monitoring levels of recyclables you will conduct accurate and timely reporting to the Site Supervisor to meet compliance requirements.

You will also be responsible for weighbridge and gatehouse services and maintain accurate transaction records.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience and knowledge with recycling and resource recovery operations.

Your commitment to provide a high level of service to customers, your ability to work as part of a team coupled with your demonstrated understanding of WH&S in the context of the waste management industry will help you succeed in this role.

A current C class driver's licence is essential.

The following licences/tickets are not essential but would be highly regarded:

• Certificate III in Waste Management
• Forklift Ticket
• Traffic Controller
• WHS General Construction Induction (White Card)

Benefits

This is a permanent full-time role working 38 hours per week spread across a 7-day roster of hours between 7:30am to 4:00pm with a base salary ranging from $56,485 to $62,697 per year based on demonstrated competencies+ allowances + 11% p.a superannuation.
