About the Role

Embark on your journey with JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa as a Concierge. Joining forces with the Concierge Team Leader and Chief Concierge, you'll be responsible for creating lasting first and last impressions for our guests in a dynamic setting. We believe that initial and final impressions are crucial. We strive to ensure that guests' arrival and departure experiences are unforgettable. Our Concierge team is proactive in providing a wide array of services to assist guests during these moments. They have the autonomy to navigate the space and take necessary actions.

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Actively listen and respond positively to guest inquiries and requests to resolve issues, impress, and foster trust.
  • Address guests' service requirements professionally, positively, and promptly.
  • Foresee guests' service needs by asking questions to understand their preferences better and acting on them.
  • Support colleagues to ensure adequate coverage and timely guest service.
  • Engage in conversations with guests about their stay, hotel services, and local attractions, including appropriate use of social media.
  • Provide assistance to guests with disabilities according to guidelines, such as offering guidance, using clear communication, adapting services, or providing access to special facilities.
  • Express genuine appreciation to guests and bid them farewell warmly.
  • Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting, addressing them by name when possible.
  • Stay informed about the local area to offer specific recommendations to guests.
  • Present recommendations in an engaging manner to excite guests and colleagues.
  • Offer directions and information about hotel amenities, services, operating hours, local attractions, and activities to guests/residents.
  • Handle luggage by tagging, storing, and retrieving it from storage, and providing guests with claim tickets.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

  • A valid driver's license for QLD.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Availability for weekend and night shifts.
  • A passion for the industry and a drive to deliver top-notch service and lifestyle experiences.

  • RSA certification.
