About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Production Manager that wants to build a lucrative career in the mining industry and secure a role with our western based operation - Airly Mine.
Our highly productive Narrow Pillar Extraction and continuous mining operations maintain a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and dedication to our internal safety culture.
Close to the attractive Blue Mountains, Mudgee and Bathurst regions, there's a large range of relocation options for places to live, schools, services, and recreational activities to enjoy.
Reporting to the Mine Manager, your responsibilities include
Managing your department with respect to Development, Projects and Outbye planning teams and execution teams led by Shift Undermanagers and Engineering Coordinators
Lead and harness and the safe and efficient implementation of the mine plan
Review compliance with the daily plan and ensure corrective actions have taken place
Work with your peers to achieve Budgeted Targets
Provide annual input into mine budgeting process
Develop effective communication strategies for the Production team
Establish boundaries of responsibility and accountability for all team members

Suitable candidates will have
Formal Mining or Engineering qualifications
Highly developed Management and Team Leadership skills
Certificate of Competency as an Undermanager or higher
Previous experience working in an underground mining environment (preferably a minimum of 2 years)
Sound understanding of relevant legislation, codes and legal practices for underground mining industry
Rational approach to risk and compliance principles and management
Excellent work ethic and attendance record
Commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Sound computer literacy skills
