About the role


An excellent opportunity exists for a motivated, people-focussed leader to manage civil works and service teams and contracts across the Inner West LGA.


In this diverse and rewarding role, you will use your amazing leadership skills to lead, motivate and inspire our civil works & services teams and contracts in delivering civil works projects and programs for the Inner West.


You will devise and implement operational, maintenance and resource plans to manage risk, achieve sustainable service levels and ensure maintenance programs are completed within budgeted year.

You will lead and inspire the team; coach, develop and where necessary, counsel staff. You will facilitate collaboration across Council in solving problems and developing solutions.

Remuneration
$103,163 to $115,099 + Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or other appropriate discipline with substantial experience in managing a civil works service area and daylabour operation.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in leading & motivating teams in the successful delivery of infrastructure works and services with the capacity to inspire and support innovative thinking.
  • Sound experience in construction and maintenance of municipal civil infrastructure.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver's License.
