The Job Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead in managing the civil engineering design process for major infrastructure projects, including roads and railways. As a key member of the Project Leadership team and Civil Engineering capability community, you will:

  • Offer guidance to the design team
  • Ensure the successful delivery of design packages through effective technical leadership and mentorship of the design team.
  • Regularly communicate with clients on design-related matters
  • Establish design interfaces and facilitate smooth information exchange between different disciplines in line with project timelines
  • Collaborate with discipline leaders to explore design optimization and value engineering prospects.
  • Review deliverables and work packages to ensure coordination and consistent high quality
  • Collaborate with the project manager to oversee the design review and verification process with discipline leaders.
  • Participate in risk review meetings, maintain risk registers, and communicate design risks to relevant parties.

  • Over 15 years of experience in civil engineering and design management
  • Background in consulting engineering with a focus on major infrastructure projects like roads and railways, preferably within a Design and Construct setting.
  • Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and being part of a team
  • Proficient in liaising with and organizing design teams and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Seeks enjoyment and aims to contribute to an organization that recognizes your efforts
