About the role;

We are seeking multiple
Full time / Part time Kitchen Hand to join our team within the Qantas Lounges by Accor at the Sydney International Airport.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Kitchen department.

Duties;

  • Action cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery
  • Operate dish washing machine as per instruction manual
  • General pantry duties and maintaining cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers
  • Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions.
  • Prepare miseenplace as required
  • Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general WHS practices.

Skills and experience;

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Understanding of food safety requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Ability to obtain Federal Police clearance to work in the restricted areas associated with the airport
