The Cardiology and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide leadership for the unit in the role of Nursing Unit Manager.

The position is full time for a period of 12 months.

Temporary Full Time until 3 August 2025 (with possibility of ongoing employment)

Remuneration:
$2,543.40 per week

Royal North Shore Hospital

6D is a 30 bed cardiology ward, including 6 coronary care beds. The unit offers a structured learning environment, career development opportunities and a friendly supportive team.

What you'll be doing

_The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care._


The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will manage a unit or ward in order to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD Patients.


_People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply._

  • Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) AND Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
  • Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
