Key Responsibilities

  • ABOUT THE ROLE

South Coast Radiology is seeking a Clerical In Charge (CIC) for our site in Burleigh Waters, to lead the radiology administration team.

This new state of the art location offers X-Ray, OPG, Bone Densitometry, CT and Ultrasound.

As the CIC, you will work closely with the Radiographer in Charge (RIC) to ensure that the reception team provides a superior service that delivers excellence in diagnostics to our patients and referring doctors through training, and support of the reception team as well as be responsible for the diary management, patient data entry and practice revenue cycle.

Reporting to the Administration Services Manager (ASM) Your role will include:

  • Managing site clerical team in relation to rostered hours, patient bookings, arrivals, and payments
  • Ensure practice and clerical appearance standards are maintained
  • Supporting Radiologists with any requests
  • Supporting technical staff with regards to services
  • Billing a patient prior to departure and entering patient services to ensure revenue cycle is met
  • Perform end of day procedures regarding Medicare and DVA claims
  • Continuous training and development of site clerical teams
  • Referrer engagement
  • Other duties as directed by the Administration Services Manager

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in a Radiology administration setting essential
  • An understanding of medical terminology and Medicare billing
  • Experience in a leadership position essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to assist in showing our patients care, compassion, and empathy
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills to effectively optimise allocated appointment slots
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on completing high quality work
  • An ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with ability to meet targets
  • A "can do" attitude that builds rapport with patients, staff, and professionals easily
  • Experience using RIS platforms

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday (38 hours)
